What is Biote® Hormone Optimization Therapy?
Biote® is a leading, clinically backed method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) that uses tiny, customized pellets to deliver hormones consistently and naturally. Inserted just beneath the skin, these pellets release hormones steadily into the bloodstream—closely mimicking the body’s natural hormone production.
Biote supports both men and women experiencing symptoms related to hormonal fluctuations, aging, and endocrine imbalance.

Post-Procedure Instructions
Goal: Support proper healing of the insertion site and optimal pellet absorption.
1. Immediately After the Procedure
-
A small bandage and Steri-Strips will cover the incision.
-
You may feel slight tenderness, swelling, or bruising at the site for several days.
-
Apply ice packs (15 minutes every few hours for the first 24 hours) to reduce swelling.
-
Avoid sitting directly on the area for long periods on the first day.
2. For the First 3 Days (Women) / 7 Days (Men)
Healing time may differ due to deeper insertion in men.
-
Keep the site dry — avoid baths, hot tubs, pools, or swimming.
-
You may shower after 24 hours, but do not soak or scrub the area.
-
Avoid strenuous exercise (especially lower body workouts, squats, or cycling).

Avoid friction or pressure on the area (tight clothing, vigorous stretching, etc.).

Do not remove Steri-Strips or bandage early.
3. After the Initial Healing Period

You may gently wash the area; allow Steri-Strips to fall off naturally.

Mild itching or firmness under the skin is normal as the pellet settles.
